When a small business owner chooses to hire a marketing company, they come typically knowing what services they want. While it is great to have an idea of what marketing services you want, it’s important to step back and look at the whole picture of the business.
4 things that go into a holistic business approach to marketing are:
- Business Goals: Before choosing a marketing campaign for a business, it is important to know what the goal of the business is. Is it to grow quickly to attract investors? Or to create a slow, steady approach to growth?
- Business Owner: Each business owner is different, and every business owner is comfortable with different marketing campaigns. For instance, it is never a good idea to suggest cold calling to a business owner who is uncomfortable on the phone.
- The Market: If the market expects one type of marketing campaign, then we need to consider using that. For example, many individuals choose their attorneys by reviewing Google AdWords. Therefore, most attorneys end up needing to use Google AdWords in addition to their other marketing campaigns.
- Time of Year: Marketing campaigns can tweak depending on the time of the year. For example, more online shopping happens during the Christmas season than at any other time of year. Therefore, even businesses that don’t normally use online ads can get a lot from them during this time of the year.
There are a variety of other elements that go into taking a holistic business approach to marketing, but that is something we go through in our marketing strategy sessions. If you want to know what holistic approach to your marketing would be, set up your free strategy session now.
